Piggyback Bands Together With Square Enix To Publish Dragon Quest™: The Journey Of The Cursed King Official Guide – The Complete Companion To The Forthcoming PAL Game

Friday 10th March 2006/... Piggyback, Europe's leading official strategy guide publisher, has signed an exclusive deal with Square Enix to publish the official guide to the epic Dragon QuestTM: The Journey of the Cursed King, for PAL regions. The guide, which includes a unique sealed 'Top Secrets' section, will be released on the same day as the game, with an RRP of £12.99.

Weighing in at a hefty 238 pages, with a six-page cover, and boasting a development time of more than six months, the official guide features detailed input from the developers and covers everything in the game. It is the 100% complete guide to Dragon QuestTM: The Journey of the Cursed King. A true first in the industry, this guide features two secrets chapters: Secrets and Top Secrets. The latter is an exclusive-to-Piggyback sealed section that documents all post-game hidden features, ensuring 100% game coverage with absolutely no spoilers.

Using detailed 2D and 3D maps, the guide shows how to discover the whereabouts of every item hidden in the Dragon QuestTM world. It also provides an extensive monster chapter giving players the low-down on each of the minions of darkness that stand between them and the completion of the epic quest. Readers will learn how to develop expert boss strategies and use the fully complete and accessible maps to uncover all these items. Sourcing all these details couldn't be simpler thanks to the colour-coded index and intuitive tab system.

Louie Beatty, Managing Director of Piggyback, said: "Dragon QuestTM is a name synonymous with in-depth role-playing and boasts a massively loyal fan base. Working with Square Enix has been a privilege and we feel, thanks to a huge collaborative effort over the last six months - particularly with precise input from the development team, that we've delivered the 100% complete companion guide."

John Yamamoto, President CEO of Square Enix Ltd., added: "The trade and public have been waiting a long, long time to play Dragon QuestTM: The Journey of the Cursed King and anticipation for the official companion guide has been equally high. Piggyback has delivered a guide of immense depth and quality, while making it accessible to players of all levels."
