Sky One offers its viewers some of the nosiest, most talked-about shows on TV and Are You Smarter Than A 10-Year Old? certainly continues that trend. Thanks to our investment in quality entertainment we continue to reach out to a diverse audience base which proves extremely attractive to our advertiser and sponsorship partners," comments Richard Woolfe, Director or Programming, Sky One.

Are you Smarter than a 10-Year-Old? is a brand new UK quiz show in which each contestant is asked a series questions from textbooks for the primary school syllabus. Before play commences, the contestant is given ten subjects ranging from art to geography and maths to science, each of which are associated with a particular primary school year.

Five children from Year 6 will play alongside the contestant, who will choose one child to be their 'classmate' to be consulted on their favourite topics. Each child may only be the contestant's classmate for two consecutive questions. Contestants who answer five questions correctly are guaranteed to leave with a cash prize - if they fail to answer one of the first five questions they'll leave with nothing. Should they answer all ten questions correctly, they'll receive a bonus question to stand the chance of winning the biggest ever multi-channel quiz show prize.
