4Kings Move Into Console Market

Having been at the forefront of competitive PC Gaming for 8 years 4Kings, the UK's only professional gaming team, are now taking the plunge and moving into the console market. With the imminent release of the next generation consoles and several major international gaming tournaments hosting console competitions now is the ideal time to begin working to continue promoting gaming through the use of consoles.

4Kings have selected the cream of the crop of UK Halo2 players to represent them in their bid to build a reputation in the console arena including former World Cyber Games 2003 Halo and recent Xbox Live Nation vs. Nation representative Harry "Lethal" Thomas. This year the World Cyber Games Grand Finals in Singapore, November 16th-20th will play host to a Halo2 2v2 competition, a change from previous years. Only one qualification phase remains in the UK and that is the UK Finals, with only four Halo2 teams in attendance and 4Kings being two of those teams they stand a good chance of jetting off to Singapore to fly the flag for the UK.

Not only are 4Kings looking to promote gaming in general but also to close the gap between competitive PC and Console gaming. For years competitive PC gaming has been seen as the dominant force but with the development of Xbox Live this is slowly changing. These are exciting times for gaming and 4Kings will endeavour to continue pushing the boundaries in the professional circuit whilst also giving the public the opportunity to see what life is like as a professional gamer.
