3GSM: LBXGames announces titles, tech and partners
Start-up unveils '07 plans
Start-up mobile game developer LBXGames has unveiled its first batch of games and partners at 3GSM in Barcelona.
The company has also demonstrated its new software, designed specifically for connected and multiplayer gaming functions.
The developer is working with Siemens AG on turn-based strategy title Armed Forces, and with Gameforge AG on OGame Mobile - a massively multiplayer online real-time strategy game.
Card game Wrooan is being developed in conjunction with Early Bird Media and MindMatics are partnering with the developer on pinball arcade game Werner.
"The mobile games sector is a very significant market and it has yet to reach its full potential," commented Fabian Thiele, CEO of LBXGames.
"There is an opportunity to reach an enormous global audience and create entirely new forms of entertainment."
The company's multiplayer technology will allows users and content creators to take advantage of subscriptions, the downloading of additional material, new game content and contacting other users in-game.
"LBXGames has created a technology base that allows us to incorporate these features into all of our games and applications and creates something appealing for consumers, publishers and networks alike," added Thiele.
