24: The Mobile Game picks up BAFTA

Sun readers vote I-Play title top of the pile

The creators of 24: The Mobile Game were celebrating last night after winning the Gamers' Award at the British Academy Video Games Awards ceremony.

I-Play's TV tie-in saw off competition from the likes of Who Wants to be a Millionaire and Diner Dash to pick up the trophy, which is sponsored by Nokia N-Gage and voted for by readers of The Sun's Something For the Weekend section.

24: The Mobile Game sees players guiding CTU agent Jack Bauer through a series of top secret missions. It was launched in March, with some carrier networks offering special game, ringtone and wallpaper bundles.

Other BAFTA winners included PC and console title Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter, which picked up the trophies for Best Game and Technical Achievement. Visit our sister site, GamesIndustry.biz, for the full list of winners.
