EL SEGUNDO, Calif. - May 19, 2009 - Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. today announced the all new Yu-Gi-Oh!™ website centered around the 2009 Yu-Gi-Oh! US National Championship. Starting on May 19th, players will be able to log-on to www.konami.com/yugioh and sharpen their Yu-Gi-Oh! skills against some of the best competitors in the United States.
The 2009 Yu-Gi-Oh! US National Championship will set the stage for players to test their skills in a Yu-Gi-Oh! timed test with thousands of competitors across the country. The top 256 with the fastest times will then compete via Nintendo Wi Fi connection in a head-to-head battle using the all new
Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's Stardust Accelerator: World Championship 2009 video game on Nintendo DS™ for a shot at travelling to ComiCon San Diego in July 2009. There, the top four will compete against each other in the semi-finals. The top two finalists will be flown to Japan to compete against the best in the world at the 2009 Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championship in August 2009.

Yu-Gi-Oh!™ 5D's Wheelie Breakers for Wii™ and Yu-Gi-Oh!™ 5D's Stardust Accelerator: World Championship 2009 for Nintendo DS™ will be available for purchase on May 19th 2009. The latest iterations in the popular franchise are based on the immensely successful Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's animated series on 4Kids Network.
