Following the recent acquisition of majority shares in Belgian developer Elsewhere Entertainment, German publisher 10tacle Studios has announced a further 25 million Euro investment for 2005.
Although no specific details have been revealed to date, 10tacle has stated that numerous studios and new gaming projects are currently being checked and audited in preparation for the final conclusive announcements.
10tacle's CEO, Michele Pes, stated: "Expansion is in the air! During this year we will invest massively in new studios and projects. It is our target to expand our position as a European centre of competence for games."
The company also announced its intentions to expand further into Asia, which is already home to a dedicated studio in Singapore. More specific details on this are due to be released by 10tacle within the coming months as deals and partnerships are finalised.
The German publisher's recent acquisition of Elsewhere Entertainment has afforded them access to Elsewhere's revolutionary game engine, NeoReality, which has been in development for a number of years and, according to its creators, incorporates groundbreaking rendering technology. The NeoReality engine will form the basis of 10tacle's new product line-up, with a strong focus on next generation console and PC software.
