With the release of Screwjumper and Shrek 'N Roll this Wednesday, Microsoft will now have 100 titles available for download on Xbox Live Arcade in the US.
The Xbox Live Arcade service was relaunched in 2005 with the release of the Xbox 360 console. Earlier this year Microsoft had predicted over 100 games and 45 million downloads by the end of 2007.
UNO was the first Xbox Live Arcade game to exceed one million downloads. It remains the second most popular download worldwide.
In September of 2007, Microsoft announced that the top ten XBLA downloads worldwide were: Aegis Wing, UNO, Texas Hold 'em, Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved, Bankshot Billiards 2, Street Fighter 'II Hyper Fighting, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 1989 Classic Arcade, Worms, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, and Contra.
Aegis Wing and Texas Hold 'em were offered for free, with the remaining titles varying in price.
Unlike most retail titles, the first two months after an Xbox Live Arcade game's release only accounts for 35 per cent of its revenue on average according to Microsoft.
