Rock Band and EyeToy prototypes donated to National Videogames Archive
Harmonix and SCEE originals to be housed at National Media Museum in Bradford
Sony and Harmonix have donated original prototypes for the EyeToy and Rock Band instruments to the National Videogames Archive.
The National Videogames Archive is housed at the National Media Museum in Bradford, and aims to document and preserve videogames culture and achievements.
"The amazing work that SCEE and Harmonix have both done to broaden audiences for videogaming make it especially appropriate that they should kick-off the NVA," commented Iain Simons, director of GameCity.
"Their work, perhaps more than any other developers has been not just about making great games - but pushing the boundaries of what games could be. We’re incredibly excited that they have chosen to make these donations to the NVA."
