Rebellion picks up former Vivendi titles

Ground Control, Evil Genius, Empire Earth and Lords of Magic in developer's portfolio

UK developer Rebellion has secured a number of franchises previously owned by Vivendi Games

Real-time strategy series Ground Control, Elixir Studio's Evil Genius, Empire Earth by Mad Doc Software and Impression Games' Lords of Magic are now all in the Rebellion portfolio.

"We have complete ownership of the IP from the past and going forwards, so yes we're putting our plans together for new titles in each series," confirmed CEO Jason Kingsley to Big Download.

The developer, currently working on Aliens Vs Predator for Sega and Bethesda's Rogue Warrior, is releasing some of the back catalogue on digital formats, and is likely to explore the franchises at some point in the future.

"Exactly what and when is currently up for discussion, as we're super busy on Aliens Vs Predator for Sega and Rogue Warrior for Bethesda," added Kingsley.
