Realtime Worlds expands operations team
Experienced MMO developers join the company's Colorado office
Realtime Worlds has expanded its operations team in its Colorado office, with the appointment of Will Leverett as director of customer service, and Patrick Bays as manager of game operations.
Leverett previously worked at Origin Systems, and NCsoft North America, having helped to ship dozens of MMO titles. Bays joins the company having also worked at Origin Systems and NCsoft, as well as Turbine. In his new role he will design a publishing platform that will deliver software updates to customers without down time.
"Our developers are making an unbelievable game in APB, it's my job to make sure it's available to our players," commented Bays. "As a gamer myself, I don't find six or eight hours downtime every week acceptable, so our system will allow our players to enjoy our games round the clock."
Rob Rice, VP of Online Operations, added: "We're rapidly building up our operations capability towards a successful launch of APB and beyond, and are delighted to have Will and Patrick's experience as part of the company to allow us to achieve that."
