Hardware sales remain quiet in Japan
DSi leads the list once again as total units sold barely breaks 100,000
The Nintendo DSi once again topped the Media Create hardware chart in Japan for the week ending June 21 seeing a small rise in sales over the previous week, although overall sales remain slow in comparison to average weeks last year.
The Nintendo handheld sold 40,464 units in total, followed by the PlayStation Portable on 27,884 and the Wii on 19,386.
The PlayStation 3 just managed over 10,000, followed by the Xbox 360, DS Lite and PlayStation 2.
In total, hardware platforms sold just over 114,000 units, with Nintendo accounting for well over half of that number.
