GCAP 09 announces final program

Game Connect: Asia Pacific 2009 conference reveals final line-up of events and speakers

Transmission Games' Justin Halliday will join Tim Stellmach and David Jaffe at Game Connect: Asia Specific (GCAP) 2009, as the conference announces its final program.

The event is due to take place in Melbourne at the Crown Entertainment Complex from 6-8 December and will begin with a keynote address from Vicarious Visions creative director Tim Stellmach. entitled "Which Side Are You On? The Design of Momentous Choices".

Transmission Games veteran Justin Halliday has been announced as the keynote speaker for Tuesday and will discuss the troubled development history of Heroes over Europe - the last game from Transmission Games before its high profile closure earlier in the year.

Previously announced as a keynote speaker, God of War creator David Jaffe will appear at the conference via videolink, taking part in a Q&A session hosted by the presenters of ABC TV's Good Game television show.

Other highlights of the conference will include an appearance by Yahtzee and Indie Award winner Farbs. A panel of CEOs will discuss the current state of the Australian game development industry, while representatives from companies including Activision and Disney will debate in a publisher panel.

GCAP 09 will begin with two half-day forums on education and games for health and will also incorporate the annual GDAA Industry Awards dinner. Further information can be found at the official website.
