Bulkypix becomes iPhone publisher

Five developers join French team to publish on Apple formats

French developer Bulkypix is making a move to publish games on the iPhone and iPod touch formats.

The studio, set up by former Vivendi Mobile staff, hopes to follow company's such as ngmoco and Chillingo in carving a niche on the growing formats, and has already signed titles from five different development studios.

"The iPhone and App Store have marked a new direction in terms of market and business model, whereby hundreds of applications and games are available every day," commented Vincent Dondaine, COO of the company.

"You need to know how to operate within this system; something that Bulkypix has gained real expertise in and which it is now offering for the benefit of its partners."

Bulkypix promises to have six titles on the App Store before the end of the year. The studio has already released titles such as Hysteria Project, My Brute and Eye Training.
