Black Ops III takes UK #1
Friday release doesn't inhibit shooter's selling power
Black Ops III has taken the UK's number one retail spot, despite launching on a Friday for the first time in six iterations of CoD, still bringing in enough revenue to put it seventh overall in week-one takings for the series, according to figures from Chart-Track.
Need For Speed, from Gothenburg studio Ghost, charted at third on release, just below the perennial powerhouse of FIFA 16, which clings on to second. Last week's number one, Halo 5: Guardians, slips to fourth place.
