Beyond developer already has next 3 games in mind

David Cage tells us that he already knows what he'll be working on for his next several projects following Beyond

Beyond: Two Souls from Quantic Dream will be released at some point this year, but studio head David Cage already has plenty of project ideas for what to work on in the years ahead. In fact, he told GamesIndustry International during DICE last week that he probably already knows what his next three titles will be.

"I actually have probably my next three games in mind. Although I'm full speed on Beyond, I know what I'm doing after it because it's already in development, and I know what I'm doing after that and probably after that" he said.

Cage noted that he likes to constantly think of game ideas so that they can mature over time and be ready when he and his team have the opportunity to tackle new projects.

"It's great because I have more ideas than I can develop. These ideas come naturally. I don't even need to think about it. It's just that this is how I work. I keep thinking all the time, all the time I'm working. And it gives time to ideas really to evolve and to come to a moment where they're ready to be written. So it's not like I just finished Beyond - oh my God, what am I going to do with the next idea? No, it's something that's matured for a very long time. That definitely helps a lot," he noted.

We'll be posting an in-depth Q&A with Cage tomorrow morning in which we dive into the key points of his DICE speech and what he's really hoping to see happen in the games industry. Update: The interview can now be read in its entirety here.
