Sony's Gaikai plans go beyond games
SCE's House says plans for other products "absolutely within the frame"
President and Group CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment Andrew House has revealed a little more of the company's plans for its latest acquisition, Gaikai.
House told the Wall Street Journal that plans to use the streaming service in other Sony products were "absolutely within the frame."
"It's recognition on Sony's part that the cloud and cloud streaming technologies are going to have profound and possibly a very positive impact on not only our game business, but also in the way our consumers interact with and obtain content in general," he said of the partnership.
House wouldn't be drawn on Gaikai's deal with Samsung to provide game streaming to its products.
