Humble Bundle 3 scores $1 million in sales

Indie package that lets gamers set the price continues to sell

The latest Humble Bundle package of indie games has now exceeded 214,800 purchases, and earned over $1 million in sales.

The Humble Bundle 3 includes six games, Crayon Physics Deluxe, VVVVVV, And Yet It Moves, Hammerfight, Cogs, and added recently, a limited trial of Minecraft.

The package launched on July 26 and hadmade $400,000 within a day.

Customers can set the price they pay, and the average spend is $4.77, although some choose to pay more. The jump to $1 million in sales comes after MtGox, the bitcoin exchange site, paid $4,096.

"MtGox top contributor of @Humble Bundle, and we've moved the total payments to over one million! So guys, when are you accepting bitcoins?" read the official MtGox Twitter account.

Previously Minecraft creator Notch had been at the top of the payments leader board with a purchase at $4,048.

Profits are split between developers and charities Child's Play and the Electronic Frontier Foundation.
