Nicolas Games acquires Frontline Studios
Polish developer adds Arena Morte studio to its business in deal that prioritises consistency
Polish developer and publisher, Nicolas Games, has announced that it has concluded a deal for the acquisition of fellow Polish developer Frontline Studios.
Frontline, which creates games for digital distribution across a variety of PC, mobile and console-based platforms, is currently working on Arena Morte, a sci-fi fighting game - but Nicolas Games is keen to ensure consistency for its new acqusition.
In a statement the company announced that "no changes will be made in the operations of the company as well as the development of its games," and that "all the principals at Frontline have made long-term commitments to Nicolas, assuring they will continue in their roles developing top-tier games at the studio."
"We are very excited to have Frontline under our wing," said Tomasz Majka, CEO of Nicolas Games. "We will now be able to fast-track development and extend the quality of all our projects. We will be able to leverage our work force and cross-platform development capabilities across multiple teams, as we will be bigger and stronger together."
