Capcom releases new PSP title in 15m-selling franchise

Capcom has shipped 2 million units of Monster Hunter Freedom 3 in Japan for its launch week.

"The combination of returning fans and all-new ones allowed us to ship a record-breaking two million units in the first week, and the game promises to deliver solid sales for the foreseeable future," said the publisher in a statement.

The Monster Hunter franchise has sold more than 15 million units in Japan, with Capcom planning fan events next March across the region.
